Sebastian Stakem
Let me take you on a quick journey through my creative timeline. Even before school homework entered the picture, I was that kid collecting knick-knacks from the ground, eager to dissect and reassemble them. From there, my passion for visual creation grew through drawing and painting, honing various skills. Fast forward about three years, and I was struck with the urge to bring my creativity online, leading to my adventures in HTML and Adobe Photoshop. Since then, amidst countless unforgettable stories, my journey has been a continuous quest to learn, draw inspiration, and turn it all into meaningful projects that positively impact those around me.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us."
- Marianne Williamson

About me
Hello again, I'm Sebastian, I am an artistic individual who thrives on creativity and problem-solving. My journey so far has taken me around the world from painting a mural in Colombia to Bartending on a sunset catamaran tour in Guatemala. With 10 countries down, and plenty more to come, each one has given an experience that has imparted invaluable life skills.
Now lets rewind to when I was 15 years old and secured my first position in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher. It was an amazing first job; but, it was no more then 6 months before I advanced to food running and then eventually to serving. In the realm of serving, I learned to see things from the customer's perspective, striving to understand their needs and exceed their expectations. Integrity is another key value I've fostered; I distinctly recall a moment when a customer generously tipped me. Not for having the answer, but for honestly admitting my lack of knowledge and committing to finding the solution. To this day the lesson rings clear: when faced with the unknown, be able to admit my limitations and actively seek solutions.
Concurrently with my restaurant work, my passion for art has flourished. From as far back as I can remember, art has remained a constant source of joy, enabling me to bring my creative visions to life and witness their evolution throughout a project.
This intersection of passion and work brings me to my current venture into design. I believe in using the experiences I have learned from both my history in art and in the hospitality industry to create a great future in design. I'm excited to bring this unique blend of empathy, integrity, and creativity to every project I undertake.
